Abstract:
Provided are: a rubber composition that is capable of improving, with good balance, performance on ice and snow, fuel efficiency, wear resistance, rubber strength, wet grip performance and dry steering stability; and a studless tire using the same. The present invention relates to a rubber composition which comprises: a specific conjugated diene polymer obtained by using a polymerization initiator represented by formula (I); a high cis polybutadiene in which the ratio of the high cis structure in the microstructure is 95 mass% or more; a polyisoprene rubber; and silica with an N2SA of 40-400 m2/g. In 100 mass% of the rubber component, the content of the conjugated diene polymer is 1-45 mass%, the content of the high cis polybutadiene is 20-64 mass% and the content of the polyisoprene rubber is 35-60 mass%, and the content of the silica is 5-150 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
