Abstract:
Disclosed is a rubber composition that is for a tire, increases the reaction rate between a silane coupling agent and silica, and increases performance such as low fuel consumption and wear resistance. Further disclosed is a pneumatic tire using same. The rubber composition for a tire contains a diene rubber, silica, a silane coupling agent, and a carbonate and/or a bicarbonate, and the total contained amount of the aforementioned carbonate and bicarbonate is 0.3-25 masses for every 100 masses of the aforementioned silica.
