Abstract:
A problem to be addressed by the present invention is to provide a rubber composition for a tire, said rubber composition being capable of excellently satisfying both low fuel consumption performance and wet-grip performance of a tire. The solution of the present invention is a rubber composition for a tire, the rubber composition being characterized by containing: a rubber component that contains a rubber having an isoprene skeleton and contains a modified styrene-butadiene rubber having a combined styrene content of 30 mass% or greater; a hydrogenated resin that has a softening point higher than 100℃ and has a weight-average molecular weight (g/mol) of greater than 1,200 and no greater than 1,600 in terms of polystyrene; silica; and carbon black, wherein the percentage of silica in the aggregate quantity of the silica and the carbon black is 50 mass% or greater and less than 100 mass%.
