Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rubber composition for a tire, said rubber composition ensuring both satisfactory rolling resistance and satisfactory wear resistance when applied to a tire member such as tread. In order to resolve the problem, this rubber composition is characterized by being obtained by blending a rubber component with a hydrosilicic acid such that: the cetyltrimethylammonium bromide adsorption specific surface area (CTAB) (m2/g) of the hydrosilicic acid and the ink-bottle pore index (IB) thereof satisfy specific relationships; and the ignition loss (mass loss on heating at 750°C for 3 hours)of the hydrosilicic acid and the heating loss (mass loss on heating at 105°C for 2 hours) thereof satisfy a specific relationship.
