Abstract:
Disclosed is a rubber composition for a tire, which comprises: (1) 100 parts by weight of a rubber component comprising a natural rubber and/or a diene-type synthetic rubber; and (2) (a) 0.5 to 40 parts by weight of a porous diatomaceous earth having a shape of a hollow or solid cylinder and having the height of the hollow or solid cylinder of 100 μm or less, and (b) (i) carbon black and/or (ii) silica, wherein the total amount of the components (a) and (b) is 40 to 80 parts by mass. The rubber composition can show an improved frictional force on ice without deteriorating the abrasion resistance or strength.
