Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition which has excellent wear resistance and low loss tangent, while being capable of decreasing the unvulcanized viscosity.
In order to achieve the above-described purpose, the present invention provides a rubber composition containing silica, and this rubber composition is characterized in that: the silica has a pH of 10.0 or less before cleaning and a pH of 4.0 or more after cleaning; the silica contains Al2O3; the content (mass%) of the Al2O3 and the BET specific surface area (m2/g) and the CTAB specific surface area (m2/g) of the silica satisfy the following relationship.
Al2O3 - 10.9 × (BET specific surface area)/(CTAB specific surface area) > -11.0
