Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition that achieves a high level of balance between static ozone resistance, dynamic ozone resistance and discoloration resistance. Also provided is a tire that achieves a high level of balance between static ozone resistance, dynamic ozone resistance and discoloration resistance. This rubber composition contains a rubber component, a petroleum wax and an anti-aging agent, wherein the petroleum wax contains a hydrocarbon component having 20-34 carbon atoms and a hydrocarbon component having 35 or more carbon atoms, and the mass proportion of the hydrocarbon component having 20-34 carbon atoms is 15-30 mass% and the mass proportion of the hydrocarbon component having 35 or more carbon atoms is 70-85 mass%, each relative to the total mass of the hydrocarbon component having 20-34 carbon atoms and the hydrocarbon component having 35 or more carbon atoms.
