Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for tires, in which the tensile stress, tensile breaking strength, and tensile elongation at break are improved above conventional levels. Provided is a rubber composition obtained by blending 1-50 parts by mass of organic microparticles that have an average grain size of 0.001-100 μm and have a crosslinked structure with 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber, wherein the rubber composition is characterized in that the organic microparticles are crosslinked microparticles of a copolymer that comprises at least two segments of mutually different repeating units, the at least two segments comprise oligomers or prepolymers that have a molecular weight of 500-20,000 and have functional groups, and the functional groups form crosslinked structures between the at least two segments.
