Provided are: a rubber composition for vulcanization molding that makes it possible to produce rubber products having excellent dimensional stability and good surface properties, as well as to effectively reduce the weight thereof; a method for producing said composition; and use of said composition. The problem is overcome by a rubber composition for vulcanization molding including hollow particles and a base rubber, in which the hollow particles are composed of an outer shell made from a thermoplastic resin and a foaming agent encapsulated therein and vaporized by heating, and also have a specific expansion reserve capacity, and the base rubber having a 100°C Mooney viscosity ML (1+4) of 5‒90, as measured according to JIS K 6300.
