Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition such as a rubber composition used in a tire, wherein when carbon black and silica are blended with NR, it is possible to achieve a balance between improving reinforcing properties and heat resistance and improving fuel economy. This rubber composition contains a rubber component, a hydrazone compound, carbon black, silica and 3-octanoylthio-1-propyltriethoxysilane. The rubber component contains natural rubber at a quantity of 50 parts by mass or more in 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. Relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, the hydrazone compound is contained at a quantity of 0.1-2 parts by mass, the carbon black is contained at a quantity of 15-60 parts by mass and the silica is contained at a quantity of 18-80 parts by mass. The 3-octanoylthio-1-propyltriethoxysilane is contained at a quantity of 3-10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the silica.
