Abstract:
Disclosed is a rubber-steel cord composite which has a good workability and remarkably excellent tensile characteristics, high adhesiveness after short-time vulcanization and high heat-resistant adhesiveness. In this rubber-steel cord composite, a steel cord, which has a brass-plated layer on the peripheral face thereof and in which the content of phosphorus contained as an oxide in the wire surface layer area, ranging from the surface of said brass-plated layer to the depth of 5 nm inward in the radial direction of the wire, is equal to or less than 1.5 atm%, is adjacent to a rubber composition which comprises a rubber component, sulfur and a sulfenamide-based vulcanization accelerator represented by general formula (I). In general formula (I), R1 represents a branched C3-12 alkyl group; R2 represents a straight-chain C1-10 alkyl group; R3 to R6 represent a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain C1-4 alkyl or alkoxy group or a branched C3-4 alkyl or alkoxy group, which may be the same or different; x represents an integer of 1 or 2; and n represents an integer of 0 or 1.
