Abstract:
Provided is a rudder arrangement structure for a ship, whereby both maneuvering performance and propelling performance can be achieved while simplifying a stern arrangement by reducing the chord length of a rudder. A rudder arrangement structure for a ship having one propeller and multiple rudders, wherein rotary shafts for the multiple rudders are disposed with left-right asymmetry within the propeller area, and the multiple rudders are arranged with left-right asymmetry within the propeller area. For a ship having one propeller 1 and two rudders 10, 11, rotary shaft A10 for one of the two rudders 10 is disposed at the center of the propeller rotation plane 3, and rotary shaft A11 for the other rudder 11 is disposed within the propeller area 3 and on the side (starboard S side) where the propeller 1 rotates downward.
