Abstract:
A ruler for a tool comprises: a main guide frame (2) provided with guide sections (2a, 2b); a first guide frame (3) provided with a guide section (3a) for guiding the tool in cooperation with the guide section (2a); a second guide frame (4) provided with a guide section (4a) for guiding the tool in cooperation with the guide section (2b); and a pair of fences (5, 6) for fixing the guide frames (2, 3, 4) with a predetermined spacing between each of the guide frames and with predetermined amounts of the guide frames (2, 3, 4) projecting outward so that tools are held between the guide sections (2a, 3a) and between the guide sections (2b, 4a), the pair of fences (5, 6) being provided so as to face each other and be separated from each other within or outside a range of work applied to a workpiece by the tools, the inner side of one of the pair of fences (5, 6) being provided with a contact surface and a positioning groove (5a, 6a) for supporting the workpiece at a predetermined angle.
