Abstract:
Provided is a run-flat tire which, while improving run-flat performance, can prevent uniformity degradation and productivity reductions without an accompanying increase in tire mass and longitudinal springs; also provided is a mounting method thereof. This run-flat tire has a carcass (6), a side reinforcing rubber layer (9), and a side wall rubber (10). In the widest portion of the tire, the thickness (B1) of the bead-side side reinforcing rubber layer (9A) on one side is greater than the thickness (B2) of the bead-side side reinforcing rubber layer (9B) on the other side, and the thickness (A1) of the bead-side sidewall rubber (10A) on the one side is less than the thickness (A2) of the bead-side sidewall rubber on the other side.
