Abstract:
This rubber composition for run-flat tires includes: a rubber component; 0.5–5 parts by mass of a low-molecular weight conjugated diene copolymer, relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, that has a polystyrene-equivalent weight-average molecular weight of 10,000–40,000; and sulfur. The ratio (sulfur/low-molecular weight conjugated diene copolymer) between the sulfur content and the low-molecular weight conjugated diene copolymer content is at least 1.8. A run-flat tire is obtained that has improved run-flat durability and riding comfort. Said run-flat tire comprises: a side wall section having a side reinforced rubber layer using the run-flat tire rubber composition; a tread; a carcass; a bead core; and a bead filler.
