Abstract:
A run-flat radial tire having provided therewith reinforcing rubber layers having a substantially crescent cross-sectional shape, the tire achieving simultaneously both good durability performance under a run-flat traveling condition and good ride comfort of traveling when the tire is inflated to normal pressure.
A rigidity reducing section (20) for reducing the rigidity of the tire in the width direction thereof is provided in the tread rubber (1). The rigidity reducing section (20) extends in the circumferential direction of the tire and is located at a position which is further toward the inside in the width direction of the tire than an end (4a) of a belt and is in a region further toward the outside in the width direction than a ground contact end (15) of the tire under a 75% load condition.
