Abstract:

Disclosed is a run-flat tire (1) provided with: a carcass (6) extending from a tread section (2) through a sidewall section (3) to a bead core (5) of a bead section (4); and a side-reinforcement rubber layer (10) that has a substantially crescent-shaped cross-section and is disposed in the sidewall section (3) on the inner side of the carcass (6). In the tyre-meridian cross-section, which includes a tyre rotation axis in a normal state in which the tyre is mounted on a normal rim, a normal internal pressure has been filled therein, but in which the tyre does not have a load, a tyre inner-cavity surface (11) includes a side inner-cavity surface (12). The distance, in the tyre-radius direction, of the side inner-cavity surface (12) from a bead toe (4e) of the bead section (4) falls within the range of 0.4-0.9 times the length (H) of the tyre inner-cavity surface (11) in the tyre-radius direction. The side inner-cavity surface (12) includes a smooth surface (15) that does not have unevenness, the total surface area of the smooth surface (15) being greater than 90% of the total surface area of the side inner-cavity surface (12).
