Abstract:
Disclosed is a run flat tyre in which side reinforcing rubber is provided on the inside of the carcass in the tyre width direction on both sidewall parts. The carcass plies include cords comprising a material having a heat shrinkage factor at 177ºC of 2 - 8%, and the run flat tyre is provided with a reinforcing cord layer which includes cords comprising a material having a heat shrinkage factor at 177ºC of less than 2% on the outside of the side reinforcing rubber in the tyre width direction on both sidewall parts.
