Abstract:
A runnability component for a paper or board machine for ensuring a web run over a fabric supported run in a gap from cylinder (1) or roll (3) to a second cylinder (5) or roll of the paper or board machine comprises a main portion (7) for transferring a fluid sucked from the gap and discharging the same or for transferring a fluid from an outside of the runnability component for blowing next to the gap, wherein, in a runnability component, a main axis of the main portion (7) extends in a cross machine direction. Furthermore, the runnability component has an extension portion (9). The extension portion (9) has a seal (11, 13) arranged to seal the gap between moving surfaces of the one cylinder (1) or roll (3) or the fabric there between, and the second cylinder (5) or roll and an edge of the extension portion (9). Furthermore, the main portion (7) supports the extension portion (9) and the interior of the main portion is connected to the interior of the extension portion via at least one fluid passage in a wall of the main portion.
