Abstract:

This invention provides a runner used to carry steel bars, which are discharged from an outlet of a rolling stand on a 2-strand rolling line, onto a cooling bed. The construction of a part at which the transfer and dropping of steel bars are effected of the runner is modified, and two pairs, i.e. four units of such parts, are provided in predetermined positions. Thus, the occurrence of deterioration in the properties of a product during the transfer and dropping of the same can be prevented, and also the processing speed on the rolling line can be improved.
