Abstract:
A rust proof rust preventive grease composition that even in the absence of any nitrites, can exhibit excellent rust inhibiting capability; and a bearing filled with the rust proof rust preventive grease composition. There is provided a grease composition comprising a base oil mixed with a thickening agent and a rust preventive component, wherein the rust preventive component comprises as indispensable components a polybasic acid metal salt, a polyhydric alcohol having hydroxyls partially blocked and at least one compound selected from among organic sulfonates and fatty acid esters, each thereof contained in an amount of 0.1 to 10 parts by weight relative to the total of base oil and thickening agent, wherein the base oil contains at least one oil selected from among synthetic hydrocarbon oils and ether oils, and wherein the thickening agent is a urea thickening agent and contained in an amount of 5 to 30 parts by weight relative to the total of base oil and thickening agent.
