Title:
'RZAO' INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION FOR TRANSPORT VEHICLES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/025036
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The invention relates to independent suspensions for road vehicles and makes it possible to pump and adjust the absorbers without removing said absorbers from the vehicle. As a result, the design and maintenance service thereof is simplified, operating and production costs as well as the consumption of metals are reduced while reliability and road clearance are increased. During the use of the device, when the wheels of the vehicle interact with the irregularities of the road, the vertical oscillations are transferred by a steering knuckle (5) to a lever (4) which displaces pistons (8, 9) of the cylinders (6, 7). As a result, the fluid flows from one cavity of the cylinders to another, whereby said cavities may be connected, first, by two pipes (12, 13), secondly, by one pipe (12), and, thirdly, by the cavity of a rod and an aperture in the cylinders. Oscillations in the independent suspension can be damped by regulating the flow of the liquid flowing from one cavity to another by means of a flow regulator (11) and also by regulating the vertical movement of the lever (4) through a spring (2), located between the lever (4) and an upper ear of a body bracket (3), and also by using the vehicle's own weight. Even hard shocks can be damped by ensuring the flow of liquid from the piston cavity into the rod cavity or from the larger cavity to the smaller one.
