Abstract:
To provide: a stainless steel sheet which has an Ni- and O-containing coating film on the surface, said coating film having excellent penetration during welding and excellent gap corrosion resistance; and a method for producing this stainless steel sheet. A stainless steel sheet which has a coating film containing Ni and O on the surface, and wherein: the coating amount of the Ni- and O-containing coating film is from 0.1 g/m2 to 20 g/m2 (inclusive); and the composition of the Ni- and O-containing coating film contains, in atomic percents, from 25% to 60% (inclusive) of Ni and from 40% to 70% (inclusive) of O.
