Provided is a saddle-ride type electric vehicle that allows a storage space to be bigger while the center of gravity of the vehicle body is lowered. A motor (M) is disposed in the vicinity of a rear wheel (WR), and a battery (B) is disposed between a pair of left and right underframes (F3). A PCU (50) for controlling electric power to be supplied to the motor (M) is disposed on a rearward side of the vehicle body relative to the battery (B). A rear cushion (70) for imparting a damping force to swinging movement of a swingarm (45) is disposed between the battery (B) and the PCU (50). A storage box (80) that forms a storage space (81) below a seat (26) is disposed above the PCU (50) and the rear cushion (70). The upper ends of the battery (B) and the rear cushion (70) are disposed below, in the vertical direction of the vehicle body, an upper end position (A) of the rear wheel (WR). At least a part of the PCU (50) is disposed below the upper end position (A).
