Abstract:

Provided is a saddle riding type vehicle in which a cover member of an accommodation part can be unlocked by using a foot switch operated by foot without operating a portable wireless key. The present invention is provided with: a smart key (200) authenticated through wireless communication by a control unit (100) provided in a saddle riding type vehicle (1); a locking mechanism (30) that locks or unlocks a cover member (19); an unlocking operation unit (50) that transmits an unlock signal to the control unit (100); and an actuator (202) connected to the locking mechanism (30) and operated according to a command from the control unit (100). The unlocking operation unit (50) is disposed at a position that is higher than a lowest ground height (H) of a saddle riding type vehicle (1) and lower than a hinge mechanism (150) of a seat (19). The control unit (100) operates an actuator (202) to switch the locking mechanism (30) to an unlocked state, when the unlock signal is transmitted by operating the unlocking operation unit (50) and mutual authentication with the smart key (200) is completed.
