Abstract:
A saddle-type electric vehicle (such as a two-wheeled electric vehicle (1)) provided with a drive motor (30) and a power control unit (60) that controls the supply of power to said drive motor from a battery (21), wherein the case (62) of said power control unit (60) is attached to the outside of a battery box (20) and electrode terminals (63) protruding from said case (62) are inserted into insertion holes (27a) in the battery box (20). Said electrode terminals (63), which then protrude inside the battery box (20), are connected to the electrodes (21a) of the battery (21) via a conductor such as a bus bar (28). This structure makes it easy to electrically connect the battery (21) and the power control unit (60) to each other, minimizes the length of high-voltage lines, and does not expose said high-voltage lines to the outside.
