Abstract:
A saddle-type vehicle includes an engine (45), a ride sensor (28) for sensing that a driver is riding the vehicle, an idle stop controller (111) for stopping the engine and transitioning the engine to an idle stop state when a predetermined idle stop condition has been met, an accelerator grip (32) operated by the driver in order to adjust the throttle position of the engine, an accelerator operation detector (95) for detecting operation of the accelerator grip, and an engine restart controller (112) for restarting the engine while the engine is in the idle stop state if the accelerator operation detector detects a predetermined operation of the accelerator grip or if the ride sensor does not sense that a driver is riding the vehicle.
