Abstract:

Provided is a saddle-type vehicle for maintaining the initial vehicle-exhaust-purification performance for a long period of time, while also being capable of suppressing an increase in size in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and having a catalyst positioned below the engine body. At least one part of a catalyst section (62) is positioned below a crank case (20a). The direction of flow of exhaust gas flowing through the interior of the catalyst section (62) is the horizontal direction. An upstream oxygen sensor (76) is provided in an upstream convergence exhaust channel section (65) connected to the upstream end of the catalyst section (62). The upstream oxygen sensor (76) is positioned above the lowermost end of the catalyst section (62). A downstream oxygen sensor (77) is provided in a downstream convergence exhaust channel section (63) connected to the downstream end of the catalyst section (62). The downstream oxygen sensor (77) is positioned above the lowermost end of the catalyst section (62).
