Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a saddle-type vehicle provided with a gear position sensor abnormality detection device for detecting any abnormalities in a gear position sensor installed in a transmission support that is integrated with a crankshaft support. A gear position sensor abnormality detection device (90) determines a gear position sensor (77) to be abnormal when a saddle-type vehicle (1) is detected to have transitioned from a stopped state to a traveling state on the basis of a signal from a speed sensor (16) while the gear position sensor (77) detects any gear position of a high-speed gear position class. Furthermore, the gear position sensor (77) is determined to be abnormal when the gear position detected by the gear position sensor (77) is included in a low-speed gear position class and is different from the gear position estimated on the basis of a signal from a crankshaft sensor (71) and the signal from the speed sensor (16).
