Abstract:
A saddled electric vehicle comprises: a vehicle body frame having a head pipe which supports the front fork so that the front fork can be steered, a main frame which extends rearward and downward from the head pipe, and a center frame which extends downward from an end of the main frame; a swing arm having a front end pivotably supported by the center frame and also having a rear end at which the rear wheel is rotatably supported; an electric motor supported by the vehicle body frame so as to generate power for driving the rear wheel; and one or more batteries for supplying electric power to the electric motor. The electric motor (25) having a motor shaft extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle is disposed in front of the center frame at a position below the main frame. A battery (26A) which is long in the front-rear direction of the vehicle is disposed at a side of the electric motor (25). As a result of the configuration, the electric motor and the batteries can be disposed while a minimum ground clearance by which a required bank angle is easily obtained is provided.
