Description:
SAFE RING WHICH OPENS UNDER LOAD

Technical Field

The invention relates to a ring structuring which opens under load preventing finger injury and chop.

The invention specifically relates to a ring structuring which comprises a safety lever; enabling the ring be taken out of the finger easily in accidents resulting from the ring on the finger being stuck (often to door handles, railing etc.).

Prior Art

As widely known, rings are accessories with different sizes and properties, which can be made of different metals and which can comprise various engravings and stones on their surfaces. Rings, which are worn to the finger as accessories or as a symbol of institutions such as engagement or marriage, can sometimes be sources of danger.

Damages to fingers may occur when getting on and off vehicles such as minibuses or other vehicles, during jumping or falling from a high place or in cases individual wearing the ring works with machines. In a simple ring injury only a superficial cut may occur in the skin; however, in other cases, tendon and muscle structures underneath may be damaged, the finger might chop and circulatory disorder may occur due to the cut. As a result of such accidents, it gets difficult for the finger to recover its function or the finger remains disabled.

In the prior art, special ring production, especially safe ring production against finger chop, is performed. These ring structurings are manufactured of silicone material and aim to prevent any damage to the finger in case of an accident. This respective ring structuring can only be made of silicone material and it is not suitable for usage of gold, silver or similar metal materials.

As a result of literature review, we encountered with various structurings regarding the abovementioned rings. One of these is utility model with application number 2013/01360 and title "Ring with adjustable width". In the abstract section of the invention, it is stated that "Ring with adjustable width comprises at least one bottom part which is formed by bending a straight part, at least one top part which connects to an end of the bottom part, at least one pin which is located on the surface which the top part connects to the bottom part, at least one hole in which the pin seats onto the bottom part and at least one channel through which the end of the top part, which is not connected, goes through in order for the width of the bottom part can be adjusted, and which is located on the bottom part.". The said application relates to a ring with adjustable width wherein the bottom part can be loosened or tightened without constraining the finger. In this structuring, it is not possible for the ring to be taken out of the finger without causing damage in case of a forcing.

Another example of the said structuring is the utility model with application number 2013/01416 and title "A ring composed of multiple of parts". In the abstract section of the invention it is stated that "The invention basically relates to a ring which comprises at least one empty holder body with a cylindrical concave form, at least two locking ring which are attached around the holder body and which are fixed as at least one piece on each side of the body, at least one intermediate ring which is attached on the holder body in a manner to be located between the locking rings and which can be arranged in a desired order and which comprises at least one volumetric space between the holder body and intermediate ring/intermediate rings; and which provides lightness and material efficiency due to the spaces inside it." In the said application, the ring has a structuring comprised of multiple concentric parts and since this would make it difficult for the ring to be taken out of the finger in case of an accident; this application may be considered among some disadvantages that are mentioned above.

As a result, improvements are needed regarding the usage of the rings and novel structurings are required in order to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above and provide solutions to the current systems.

Aim of the Invention

The present invention related to a safe ring opening under load, which fulfills the abovementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and provides some extra advantages.

The primary aim of the invention is to prevent finger injury or finger chop by enabling the ring be taken out of the finger easily in case of accidents where the ring stuck to something (often to door handle, railing or alike).

Another aim of the invention is to prevent finger injury or finger chop by providing a ring which opens from at least one point as a result of a load being applied during an accident.

Another aim of the invention is to make it possible that the ring opening under load be manufactured of gold, silver or a material alike.

Another aim of the invention is to provide that the openable mechanism of the ring can open in the desired value according to the endurance resistance of the finger of the individual, due to the fixing element of which the inner diameter thickness can be adjusted. In order to realize all the advantages that are mentioned above and described in detail below the present invention; is a ring which is used as accessory by being worn to the finger and it comprises a body which forms the integrity of the ring and at least one safety lever which is connected to the said body by at least one connection element and which enables the ring being taken out of the finger by opening under load.

The structural and characteristical features of the invention along with all its advantages shall be understood more clearly with the Figures provided below and the detailed description that refers to these figures. Therefore, an evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into account.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the preferred structuring of the safe ring (10) of the invention which opens under load, are described in a non-limiting manner and for the mere purpose of the subject being understood better.

The safe ring (10) of the invention, as seen in Figure 1 , comprises a main body (100), a connection element (110) and a safety lever (120). The mounting of the safe ring (10) of the invention is performed as follows: Ring main body (100) and the safety lever (120), which enables the ring (10) to be taken out of the finger under any load, are connected by the connection element (110). The said connection element (110) in the said preferred structuring is pin. The connection element (110), enables the safety lever (120) to be attached to the main body (100) and the safety lever (120) to move easily.

In Figure 2, a perspective view of the structuring of the safe ring of the invention (10) comprising the main body (100), the safety lever (120), the connection element (110), the fixing end (121 ) and the fixing housing (130) is provided from front.

The end of the safety lever (120) which can move freely comprises a fixing end (121 ) which is formed in a manner to be attached to the main body (100). The said fixing end (121 ) has a protrusion form and it is connected to the fixing housing (130) which is formed on the main body (100). Alternatively, in the end of the said safety lever (120) there is a housing which enables the fixing of the safety lever (120) to the body (100) and the fixing protrusion which is located on the said housing is positioned on the body (100).

An alternative structuring which is suitable for different ring (10) designs can be seen in Figure 4. In this alternative structuring, one end of the connection element (110) which enables the integration of the safety lever (120) with the body (100) is positioned on the safety lever (120) and the other end is positioned on the body (100). The end of the connection element (110) which is located on the safety lever (120) and/or the end which is located on the body (100), is attached in a manner to be able to move forwardly and backwardly in the location it is positioned. Therefore, it is possible for the safety lever (120) to expand even more in open position. In another structuring, there is at least one stretching element (preferably spring) is located in the point where safety lever (120) is connected to the body (100). In case of an accident under any load safety lever (120) opens by the stretching element being jammed. Therefore, the ring (10) can be taken out of the finger. When the load disappears spring (142) loosens and the safety lever (120) goes back to the first closed position.

In Figure 5, a view of an alternative structuring of the invention is provided. In this alternative structuring, fixing element housing (122) is formed on the safety lever (120). Fixing is provided by positioning the fixing element (140) seen in Figure 6, to the said fixing element housing (122). The said fixing element (140) has a space inside. The diameter of the said space forms the inner diameter (B). Fixing element (140), shall be used in a manner that its external radius

(A) is constant in every ring and its inner diameter (B) value varies among rings. Inner diameter

(B) value shall be determined according to the thickness of the finger of the user. Therefore, opening force is adjusted according to the thickness of the finger of the user.
