Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a safe which, regarding a recording medium, enables information recorded thereon to be reliably destroyed in the event of theft.
[Solution] A safe is provided with an openable and closable housing part (10) which houses a recording medium (40) held by a holding means (30), and a destruction means (12) which is able to destroy, together with the holding means (30), the recording medium (40) housed in the housing part (10), and further provided with a theft detection means which detects unauthorized access to the housing part (10), and a drive means (13) which drives the destruction means (12). When detecting the unauthorized access to the housing part (10), the theft detection means operates the drive means (13) to cause the destruction means (12) to destroy, together with the holding means (30), the recording medium (40) housed in the housing part (10).
