Abstract:
A safety apparatus for a sewing machine, comprising a needle bar (1), a presser bar (2) located at one side of the needle bar (1), and a light-transmitting hood (3) that has open upper and lower ends and covers the presser bar (2) and the needle bar (1). The light-transmitting hood (3) is provided with first insertion portions (31). A support base (4) is fixed on the presser bar (2). The support base (4) comprises second insertion portions (41) for insertion and matching with the first insertion portions (31). By covering a needle bar (1) with a light-transmitting hood (3) during the operation of the needle bar, a protection function is achieved, so that the phenomenon that the hand is stabbed when a sewer moves a cloth. Moreover, by reasonably setting the connection relationship between the light-transmitting hood (3) and a support base (4), the light-transmitting hood (3) is easily assembled and disassembled.
