Description:
A SAFETY BELT Technological Area:

The invention relates to a new safety belt which can be used in all types of land, air and sea vehicles, in particular planes, and this belt transmits information to the responsible person in the vehicle about whether or not it is fitted.

Recognized State of the Technique:

Safety belts are used in all transportation vehicles today. Seat belts save thousands of lives every year. For this reason, the seat belt must never be removed while the vehicles are moving. Safety belts used especially in airplanes have the following disadvantages.

When the passenger opens his/ her safety belt which is used in the recognized state of the technique, the passenger included in the passenger compartment is lit. When the flight attendant realizes that the safety belt light in the passenger compartment is lit, he/ she warns the passenger and ensures that the passenger fastens his/ her belt. However, for this, the flight attendant must constantly check the passenger cabins by strolling through the cabins. There is no system to remotely monitor whether the safety belt is used in the current recognized state of the technique. In this case the passengers whose safety belts are not fastened may experience panic in the presence of a turbulence encountered by the aircraft. The passengers whose belts are not fastened should be checked regularly. But it is very difficult and impractical to control the cabinets one by one. As a result, a safety belt that overcomes the recognized state of the technique and eliminates the disadvantages is required.

Brief Description of the Invention: The invention is a safety belt which, in addition to the additional advantages, overcomes the disadvantages of the recognized state of the technique, eliminates disadvantages.

The object of the invention is to generate a new safety belt through which the state whether the safety belts, especially the ones used in the airplanes are fastened can be checked remotely by the flight attendant and assigned personnel.

Another object of the invention is to provide an electronic based system which measures whether the safety belt is fastened or not.

Another object of the invention is to provide a new safety belt control system which allows a safe flight. To realize the aforesaid and all purposes that will arise from the below detailed description, the current invention is a safety belt that contains a buckle that connects two strips to each other from their tips, that can be used in all kinds of land, air and maritime vehicle, particularly in planes and it provides information to the staff on whether the belt is fastened or not and its feature is as follows; it contains a micro-switch which transmits the information to the screen regarding whether the wires on the buckle are in contact and the safety belt is fastened or not to be monitored by the authorized personnel, it contains wires with electrical conductivity in micro dimensions placed within the aforesaid strips and it is characterized with a screen which shows the authorized personnel whether the passengers on the airplane fastened their belts or not. Another preferred embodiment of the invention is as follows: it is a safety belt checking method that contains a buckle that connects two strips to each other from their tips, that can be used in all kinds of land, air and maritime vehicle, particularly in planes and it provides information to the staff on whether the belt is fastened or not and its feature is as follows; ant its feature is as follows; it contains the following steps: when the strips are separated after opening the buckle, the wires lose contact with each other and when the contact is lost, the micro-switch transmits notification to the screen, the seat shown on the screen gets a different color following the notification came from the micro-switch and the personnel goes to the unfastened seat in a different color to make the necessary warning.

Another preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that: The wires in the strip are made of copper and nickel alloy.

Description of the Figures:

Description of the Invention:

In this detailed description, the safety belt (1 ) is explained with examples which will not constitute a restricting impact for the better understanding of the subject. In the instruction book; the invention relates to a new safety belt (1 ) which can be used in all types of land, air and sea vehicles, in particular planes, and this belt transmits information to the responsible person in the vehicle about whether or not it is fitted.

The symbolic frontal view of the safety belt (1 ) is given in figure 1. According to the figure, the safety belt (1 ) comprises of two stripes (1 1 ) and a buckle (10) connecting the tips. There is a micro switch (12) on the buckle (10) which informs the authorized personnel on whether the safety belt (1 ) is fastened or not. In figure 2, the wires (13) that pass through the stripes (11 ) forming the safety belt (1 ) are illustrated. The conductive wires (13), which transmit the electric current through the strip (1 1 ), are positioned. The conductive wires (13) are in contact with each other when the buckle (10) connects the two strips (1 1 ). When the buckle (10) is opened and the strips (11 ) are separated from each other, the micro switch (12) sees this separation and notifies the authorized personnel. The image of the screen (20) through which the assigned personnel is able to check whether the safety belt is fastened is shown in Figure 3. The assigned personnel can clearly see the passengers with and without the safety belts (fastened) in the seats (21 ) shown on the screen (20). The seats (21 ) of the passengers wearing the safety belt (1 ) are shown as normal while the seats (22) with the safety belt open are shown in a different color. In this way, the passengers opening the safety belt (1 ) can be clearly observed and warned by going to their compartment.

The wires (13) used in the invention have conductivity and they conduct the electrical current. The used wires (13) are considered as copper and nickel alloys and can be any kind of conducting metal and alloy. Since the system used is completely electronic, it does not pose a problem when it is applied in airplanes. Therefore the invention is a safety belt (1 ) that contains a buckle(10) that connects two strips (1 1 ) to each other from their tips, that can be used in all kinds of land, air and maritime vehicle, particularly in planes and it provides information to the staff on whether the belt is fastened or not and its feature is a as follows; it contains a micro-switch (12) which transmits the information to the screen(20) regarding whether the wires(13) on the buckle (10) are in contact and the safety belt is fastened or not to be monitored by the authorized personnel, it contains wires (13) with electrical conductivity in micro dimensions placed within the aforesaid strips (1 1 ) and it is characterized with a screen(20) which shows the authorized personnel whether the passengers on the airplane fastened their belts (1 ) or not. In addition, the invention is a safety belt(1 ) checking method that contains a buckle(10) that connects two strips(1 1 ) to each other from their tips, that can be used in all kinds of land, air and maritime vehicle, particularly in planes and it provides information to the staff on whether the belt is fastened or not and its feature is as follows; it contains the following steps: when the strips(1 1 ) are separated after opening the buckle(10), the wires (13) lose contact with each other and when the contact is lost, the micro-switch(12) transmits notification to the screen(20), the seat(21 ) shown on the screen(20) gets a different color following the notification came from the micro-switch and the personnel goes to the unfastened seat(22) in a different color to make the necessary warning.
