Abstract:
Provided is a safety cap whereby a child-resistant function can be improved. The safety cap comprises a screw-type inner cap detachably mounted in a mouth of a container, and an outer cap that is combined with the inner cap so as to be capable of relative rotation. Formed in both the inner cap and the outer cap are pluralities of engaging protuberances for engaging with each other and rotating the inner cap by causing the outer cap to rotate while pushing the outer cap toward the inner cap. Formed in each of the engaging protuberances are a vertical part for engaging the protuberance when the outer cap is rotated in the closing direction, and an inclined part for engaging the protuberance when the outer cap is rotated in the opening direction. Formed continuously in each inclined part are a steeply inclined part and a gently inclined part having a gentler slope than the steeply inclined part.
