Abstract:
A safety control unit (10) is provided with a memory (102), a calculation control unit (101), and an input/output unit (103) which connects the calculation control unit (101) to a safety input device (31) and an output device (32) that is to be subjected to safety control. A system program (120S) includes data refreshing to be performed on control data (120D) for the safety input device (31), the output device (32), and the memory (102) through the input/output unit (103). Upon acceptance of a change of the control program (120C), the calculation control unit (101) stops execution of the control program (120C). The calculation control unit (101) executes change of the control program (120C) while executing a part of the system program (120S) including data refreshing. The calculation control unit (101) resumes execution of the control program (120C).
