Abstract:
Disclosed is a safety detection device of a passenger conveying apparatus, comprising: one or more markers (22), disposed on any low-speed rotating part, at least one marker or a combination of multiple markers being distributed on the tubular side surface or circular bottom surface of at least one low-speed rotating part over 360 degrees to represent different rotation angles of the low-speed rotating part; at least one optical sensor (9), separate from the low-speed rotating part that the rotation angle marker is on, and used for recognizing the marker (22); and a controller, connected to the optical sensor (9), and used for calculating the running direction and/or speed of steps of the passenger conveying apparatus according to the markers recognized by the optical sensor (9) at different time points (t1, t2), and stopping the passenger conveying apparatus when the running direction of the steps is reversed or the running direction of the steps is excessively high. The detection device is designed for a wide range of types of faults, and with the use of non-contact optical detection, the reliability of the detection device and the stability of operation are greatly improved.
