Abstract:
A safety device for lighters is composed of a shoehorn (1), a press cap (2), a shell (3), a locking device, a support seat (8) and a lighter. The shoehorn (1) is provided with a button cover (11), an upper locking piece (12), a locking slot (13) and a lower locking piece (14). The button cover (11) also acts as a handle of the shoehorn (1). The press cap (2) is provided with an inner shoehorn hole (21) and an inner lighter hole. The locking device is provided with a lock bolt (54) and an offsetting spring (9), and can be provided on right side or left side of the shell (3). The other inner shoehorn hole (31) is provided at the bottom of the shell (3). The press cap (2) is secured to the shell (3), and the support seat (8) is secured to the shell (3) by a screw (10). The lighter is provided in the inner lighter hole of the press cap (2) and the shell (3), and the shoehorn (1) is provided in the inner shoehorn hole (21) of the press cap (2) and the inner shoehorn hole (31) at the bottom of the shell (3). The button cover (11) covers a button (42) of the igniter of the lighter. When the lock bolt (54) of the locking device is locked in the locking slot (13) by the movement of the offsetting spring (9), the shoehorn (1) can not move up and down. The safety device prevents children from using the lighter.
