Abstract:
The present invention relates to a safety device which controls the opening and closing of a door by means of a safety shoe when a hand of a person gets caught in the gap between the elevator door and door frame, thereby preventing the hand from being wedged therein, the safety device comprising: embedded boxes (20) disposed in the lower inside part of both sides of a door frame of an elevator, and each having an opening (22) penetrating to the outside of the door frame; a protruding member (30) which is disposed in each embedded box (20) so as to be movable therein, and which can protrude outside of the embedded box and retract thereinto; a pressure means (40), disposed in each embedded box (20), for providing pressure for pushing the protruding member (30) to the outside of the embedded box; a foreign substance-removing means (50), disposed inside the opening (22) of each embedded box (20), for removing foreign substances on the surface of the protruding member (30) which moves inside the embedded box (20); light-emitting elements (62) disposed on the upper parts of the door frame (10), each at an orthogonal position corresponding to a light-receiving element (60) disposed at the end of the upper surface of each protruding member (30); and a light-sensor controller (64) connected to each light-receiving element (60) and light-emitting element (62) to sense whether the path of light is blocked. x
