Abstract:
The present invention relates to a safety monitoring cane for an elderly person, which comprises: a female coupling apparatus formed on one side of a handle part of the cane; and an auxiliary cane handle having a male coupling apparatus formed therein, a circuit unit and a charging unit built therein, and an LED, a buzzer, and a display formed on the exterior thereof, the male coupling apparatus being coupled to the female coupling apparatus and being capable of changing or replacing the shape of one side of the cane, wherein the circuit unit comprises: an acceleration sensor; a control unit for, when there is no movement of a cane holder, determining that a falling accident has occurred and outputting a control signal for requesting outside help to the buzzer and the LED; and a Bluetooth unit for outputting a wireless signal to a user's smartphone according to the control signal of the controller, and the charging unit includes: a cane including a charging circuit and a charging battery; and a smartphone having an application which is embedded therein and has a system of receiving input of the wireless signal of the Bluetooth unit to notify a guardian's portable phone of the accident through portable phone communication.
