Abstract:
The present design relates to a safety-promoting device, wherein a boundary stone forming a partition on, by way of example, sidewalks (pavements) of roadways and cycleways has a recess (4) allowing a T-shaped rubber sheet (2) to be inserted, and there is a luminescent sheet on the rubber sheet (2). A driver's awareness decreases when boundaries such as the boundaries of tunnels and sidewalks on roadways become indistinct at night or during rainfall, and when the lines on roads are painted or suffer a marked reduction in definition. Further, cycleways currently have no safety devices apart from boundary stones. Consequently, safer driving and riding can be promoted by means of a facility which safely protects people and facilities from vehicles and prevents bicycles from straying outside boundary stones, by providing safety-promoting boundary stones on the upper surfaces of cycleway boundary stones and either on the upper surfaces or the side surfaces or else alternately on the upper surfaces and the side surfaces of roadways.
