Claims:
Claims

1. Safety razor with a safety razor head and with a safety razor handle, characterized in

that a manual hair cutter essentially comprising one single blade is provided with at least the blade integrated within the safety razor and that the blade of the integrated hair cutter extends essentially in direction of the safety razor handle.

2. Safety razor according to claim 1 ,

characterized in

that at least the blade of the manual hair cutter is integrated releasably within the safety razor.

3. Safety razor according to claim 1 or 2,

characterized in

that in the safety razor handle, a recess is provided in which the blade of the hair cutter is integrated.

4. Safety razor according to claim 3,

characterized in

that the safety razor handle is divided in an upper part and in a lower part disconnectable from the upper part,

that the recess is provided in the upper part and

that at least the blade of the hair cutter is attached to the lower part.

5. Safety razor according to claim 4,

characterized in

that the lower part of the safety razor handle constitutes a holder of the hair cutter.

6. Safety razor according to claim 3,

characterized in

that the recess is provided at a lower end of the safety razor handle distant from the safety razor and

that a hair cutter handle is removably connected with the lower end of the safety razor handle.

7. Safety razor according to claim 1 ,

characterized in

that the safety razor holder is removably connected with an upper end of the safety razor handle,

that in the safety razor holder, a recess is provided which includes the hair cutter, and

that the hair cutter is fixed to the upper end of the safety razor handle.

8. Safety razor according to claim 1 ,

characterized in

that the holder of the safety razor is removably connected with an upper end of the safety razor handle,

that the hair cutter is installed inside the bottom of the safety razor handle, which bottom is constituted by a removable bottom cover provided with the recess.

9. Safety razor according to claim 2,

characterized in

that the hair cutter is installed removably inside the bottom of the safety razor handle and

that the safety razor head and the hair cutter are interchangeable.

10. Safety razor according to one of the preceding claims,

characterized in

that the hair cutter is covered by a removable protective cover.

11. Safety razor according to claim 1 ,

characterized in

that the hair cutter is provided directly on top of the safety razor handle and

that the hair cutter is covered by a removable sleeve with the safety razor on top of the sleeve.

12. Safety razor according to claim 1 or 2,

characterized in

that the hair cutter is installed inside the safety razor handle on either end and

that the hair cutter is movable out of the safety razor handle by a linear action or pivotal action while remaining connected with the safety razor handle.

13. Safety razor according to claims 2, 3 and 4,

characterized in

that the parts of the safety razor handle are removably connected by a thread and screw connection.

14. Safety razor according to claim 2, 3 and 4,

characterized in

that the parts of the safety razor handle and the hair cutter are removably connected by a clip connection.

15. Safety razor according to claim 6,

that the hair cutter handle and the safety razor handle are connected removably by a thread and screw connection.

Description:
Safety razor with a safety razor head and with a safety razor handle

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a safety razor with a safety razor head and with a safety razor handle.

Nowadays safety razors work fine on smooth places like cheeks or legs. However shaving under the nose or close to warts or moles, is very difficult or even risky. In order to shave hair under the nose, one has to move the nose in a awkward way to obtain a good shaving result.

In Figure 1 , the number 1.1 shows the body of the head of a safety razor. The body connects all parts of the whole head of the safety razor. The numbers 1.2 and 1.3 show surfaces that help the safety razor to glide gently over the skin with water and shaving foam as lubricant. The blades 1.4 - 1.5 - 1.6 can be a single, double or triple blade. The problem is the space 1.2 one needs to protect the skin for the cutting process. Figure 1 - L1 shows the technological problem: the bigger space required by 1.2 makes it more difficult to come closer to problem zones. Figure 2 shows these zones. The few hairs 2.5, located under the nose 2.1 , are always difficult to shave. One has to move the nasal wings 2.2, to cut the hairs mentioned at 2.5. The hairs 2.4 around moles or warts 2.3 are more difficult to cut, because one cannot move the mole or wart. Hairs around delicate obstacles such as warts and moles can be anywhere on the human body and these need to be cut too.

STATE OF THE ART

The document WO-A-2010/009179 discloses a combination of a shaving and of a trimming device which includes a handle with an upper end and a lower end. A powered trimmer is disposed adjacent the upper end. A wet-shaving razor attachment comprises a connecting structure which is adapted for mounting over the trimmer onto the upper end. A razor cartridge mates with the connecting structure. The trimmer device is complicated and requires electrical energy for operation. As the trimmer with the trimmer blade is disposed at right angles to the handle of the combined shaving and trimming device, this device is rather bulky or the handle is thick and heavy.

Mutis mutandis, the above drawbacks also apply to a portable nasal hair trimmer with shaver device according to document CN 201346782 Y. The portable nasal hair trimmer comprises a casing, a battery, a motor and further components. A tool holder is arranged at one end of the casing and a handle is connected with the other end of the casing. A shaver holder is connected in a clamping groove formed at an end part of the handle and a shaver head is connected with the end part of the shaver holder.

A razor with LED according to document WO-A-2008/070080 incorporates a light energy device in the safety razor. The light energy device can be powered by a battery which is disposed in a hollow handle. However, the safety razor structure does not comprise any additional tool for cutting hairs.

TECHNICAL PROBLEM

It is an object of the invention to combine a safety razor having at least one blade which works well for big shaving zones with an additional tool for cutting hairs in problem zones like under the nose and close towards. It is another object to provide the safety razor with such an additional tool in an uncomplicated structure which is easy to manufacture and to operate. It is another object to provide such a device which is compact, light and, nevertheless, sturdy.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In the present invention, a safety razor with a safety razor head and with a safety razor handle is combined with a manual hair cutter which essentially comprises one single blade and at least the blade of the manual hair cutter is integrated within the safety razor in a manner that the blade of the integrated hair cutter extends essentially in direction of the safety razor handle. This compact combination provides all blades required to shave and to cut hairs in one piece, at least when the hair cutter is not used, but the combination allows the user to use two tools in different ways.

For a number of options of the invention, at least the blade of the manual hair cutter is integrated releasably within the safety razor.

Further, in the preferably solid safety razor handle of the present invention, a recess is provided in which the blade of the hair cutter is integrated for a compact structure of the safety razor with the hair cutter.

In a preferred option of the present invention, the safety razor handle is divided in an upper part and in a lower part disconnectable from the upper part, the above-mentioned recess is provided in the upper part and the blade of the hair cutter is attached to the lower part. In this safety razor, the lower part of the safety razor handle constitutes a holder of the hair cutter. Further, the disconnected lower part of the safety razor handle can simply constitute the handle of the hair cutter.

In an option of the invention, the recess storing the blade of the hair cutter is provided at a lower end of the safety razor handle distant from the safety razor and a small individual hair cutter handle of the hair cutter is removably connected with the lower end of the safety razor handle. In this case, the individual hair cutter handle does not contribute much to the safety razor handle when the hair cutter handle is connected with the lower end of the safety razor handle. When the hair cutter with its hair cutter handle and the blade is removed from the safety razor, both, the hair cutter and the safety razor, can be used as independent tools. In another option of the invention, the safety razor holder is removably connected with an upper end of the safety razor handle, and in the safety razor handle, a recess is provided which includes the hair cutter. The hair cutter is permanently fixed to the upper end of the safety razor handle. Hence, the whole safety razor handle serves as hair cutter holder.

In another option of the safety razor of the invention, the holder of the safety razor is removably connected with an upper end of the safety razor handle and the hair cutter is installed inside the bottom of the safety razor handle. In this case, the bottom is constituted by a removable bottom cover provided with the recess. When the safety razor is used as such, the bottom cover protects the blade of the hair cutter and the user from injuries effected by this blade. When, however, the safety razor is used, the bottom cover is removed exposing the blade and preferably also the safety razor is removed from the upper end of the safety razor handle.

In a further option of the invention, when the hair cutter is installed removably inside the bottom of the safety handle and the holder of the safety razor is removably connected with the upper end of the safety razor handle, the safety razor head and the hair cutter are interchangeable. In this case, the safety razor handle can be used alternatively as handle to hold the hair cutter.

In all embodiments of the invention, the hair cutter is preferably covered by a removable protective cover when it is not used. The removable protective cover protects the hair cutter and particularly the hands of the user from injuries in an opening process of the safety razor in preparing the hair cutter for cutting operation. The protective cover is designed as a hermetic shield.

In a further option of the invention, the hair cutter is provided directly on top of the safety razor handle and the hair cutter is covered by a removable sleeve with the safety razor on top of the sleeve. The sleeve can be connected with the top of the safety razor handle with any suitable connecting technology such as threads or clips. Also in this case, the safety razor handle is used to hold the hair cutter.

In a still further option of the invention, the hair cutter is installed inside the safety razor handle on either end and the hair cutter is movable out of the safety razor handle by a linear action or pivotal action while remaining connected with the safety razor handle like in the case of a safety knife or retractable pencil. In this option, no parts of the safety razor and combined hair cutter can be lost when either the safety razor or the hair cutter is used.

As mentioned above for the connection of the sleeve covering the hair cutter on top of the safety razor handle, also the other releasable connections of the invention, particularly of the parts of the safety razor handle or of the safety razor handle with the hair cutter handle or with the safety razor holder can be realized by a thread and screw connection or by a clip connection or by another suitable connection technology.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Figure 1 illustrates the head of a safety razor, which is present technology. Figure 2 shows parts of a human face.

Figure 3 shows an embodiment of the invention, with an integrated tool/blade in a handle, in a view on the left side of the handle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Figure 3 shows in a preferred embodiment of the invention, an integrated tool with a cutter in the lower part of the handle which is a safety razor handle. View on left side of the handle.

Number 3.1 illustrates a recess to receive a tool.

Number 3.2 illustrates a protector for the cutter.

Number 3.3 illustrates the cutter as an additional tool integrated in the lower handle.

Number 3.4 illustrates a screw for a connection between the holder of the cutter and protection for the cutter.

Number 3.5 illustrates the holder for the cutter.

Number 3.6 illustrates a push button.

Figure 4 illustrates the connection of the above safety razor with the upper part, the razor head, and with the lower part, an integrated cutter in the lower handle. View from above the handle.

Number 4.1 shows a recess to accommodate the tool. In a safety razor, a recess can be made by drilling away material from the body of the safety razor or better yet, a recess is created directly in the body by injection molding of the body.

Number 4.2 shows a protector for the cutter. Details are shown in Figure 5. Number 4.3 shows the cutter as an additional tool integrated in the lower handle. Details are shown in Figure 6.

Number 4.4 illustrates an upper holder of the cutter 4.3. A mold can be used for this part to connect the cutter with the holder below. One puts the plastic mass in the mold and before the plastic mass gets cold, one sticks the cutter in the middle of the mass. The mold is build like a cylinder - about 20 mm long and 8 mm wide. These measurements are for the final part. The mold itself has to be built about 1 mm larger in both dimensions. The part will be formed, so that half of the part is formed as a screw on its surface and the other half is smooth. The end with the form of the screw receives the cutter inside it as mentioned above. The smooth part is for gluing its body with the cutter into the lower part of the handle.

Number 4.5 shows the lower part of the handle. This handle is produced in one piece by injection molding technology. The upper part of the handle would be formed in the same way. This technology is well known. In the upper part of this handle, a recess is provided to insert the additional tool, the hair cutter.

Number 4.6 shows a push button with a resistive clip with hook. This is one option for a connection between the upper handle with the lower handle. In that case, the push button is pressed to disconnect both parts. This is present technology and well known. For this connection, one can also use a thread and screw to give a similar result to connect or disconnect the parts of the handle. Figure 5 shows the protector removed from the cutter. If a sharp cutter is installed inside the lower part of the handle, it is very unsafe when opening the handle. That is why a protector is provided to prevent injuries.

Number 5.1 shows a soft plastic protector for the cutter with a thread. Appropriate soft plastic can be used for injection molding of the protection.

Number 5.2 shows the rotation needed to remove the protector from the cutter. Number 5.3 shows the thread on the protector to connect it to the lower handle. Number 5.4 shows the complete lower handle including the screw as a means of connecting the protector.

Figure 6 shows the resulting lower part of the handle of the invention. A hair cutter that snugly fits into the upper part of the handle of the safety razor easily disconnects from the upper part of the safety razor for quick and easy use. This gives a unique type of safety razor having a double function with a razor head, for a normal shave on regular, easy to shave larger surface areas such as cheeks or throat.

The unique additional tool, a hair cutter, cuts hairs in problem zones like hair under the nose or around warts.

Number 6.1 shows the blade of the cutter. The optimal width should be around 5mm.

The thickness of the material is approximately 0.10 mm.

The material is stainless steal with a minimum hardness of 55 HRC.

Number 6.2 shows the lower part of the safety razor handle, as a holder of the cutter. The exact shape of this handle is not critical. It could be round, quadratic, ergonomic or whatever. The important aspect of the invention is the ability of the connection between the upper part and lower part of the handle with the hair cutter installed in the lower part of the handle.

Figure 7 shows the installation of the hair cutter permanently fixed in the upper part of the handle, with the additional blade. The connection between the safety razor holder and the handle can be realized with well known techniques, such as thread and screw, resistive clips or clips as shown in the figure, that is clips with hooks. This structure allows using the whole handle as the tool holder for the hair cutter.

Number 7.1 shows the form of the blade holder that incorporates a cavity or recess to accommodate the hair cutter and is detachable by mean of clips with hooks.

Number 7.2 shows the recess to accommodate the hair cutter into the safety razor holder.

Number 7.3 shows the blade of the hair cutter with its protective cover attached with thread and screw.

Number 7.4 shows a knob with a clip with hook as one possibility to disconnect the safety razor holder from the safety razor handle to expose the hair cutter. Number 7.5 shows the handle of the safety razor. Figure 8 shows the hair cutter directly installed on the bottom of the handle of the safety razor and protected with a protective cover forming the recess for the integrated hair cutter.

Number 8.1 shows the handle of the safety razor as a holder for the razor holder on the top and has the hair cutter installed in the bottom.

Number 8.2 shows the blade of the hair cutter with its own protective cover attached with thread and screw.

Number 8.3 shows the cover for the lower end of the safety razor. While it is attached with a resistive clip, which is well known technology, it forms a clean industrial design to cover the hair cutter tool.

Number 8.4 shows a possible connection via thread and screw, to permit the removal of the razor holder for a more comfortable handle.

Figure 9 shows the hair cutter coupled into the lower end of the handle, with its own hair cutter handle. Thus the hair cutter can be removed and used as an independent tool.

Number 9.1 shows the handle of the safety razor with a recess in the bottom or the handle for the hair cutter.

When one wishes to cut an individual hair, the handle with the hair cutter is brought above the hair. The hair cutter is gently pressed on the skin, and then, the handle with the cutter is drawn down cutting the hair.
