Abstract:
A sailor former (200) for guiding a packaging sheet (5) to a cylinder (73) to form the packaging sheet (5) into a hollow cylindrical body, the packaging sheet (5) being formed by bonding tags (2) to a band-like sheet (4) at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the band-like sheet (4), wherein a cutout (204) is formed in a ridge section (203) of the sailor former (200) located on a traveling path of the tags (2). Owing to the construction above, the amount of lift of the tags (2) when the packaging sheet (5) travels on the sailor former (200) is minimized to prevent the packaging sheet (5) from meandering and the tags (2) from separating from position. Also provided are a filling and packaging machine having the sailor former (200) and a filling and packaging method using the sailor former (200).
