Abstract:
Provided are a sample cooling device capable of effectively removing the moisture included in the air in a housing chamber that houses a sample container and preventing problems caused by frost formation, an autosampler provided with said sample cooling device, and a sample cooling method. A first drive process is carried out in which the temperature setting of a dehumidifier is made to be at or below the freezing point, and after the first drive process has been carried out for a prescribed period of time, a second drive process is carried out in which the driving of the dehumidifier is stopped or the temperature setting of the dehumidifier is made to be above the freezing point. As a result, after the temperature setting of the dehumidifier is made to be at or below the freezing point and the moisture included in the air in the housing chamber is made to temporarily adhere to the dehumidifier as frost during the first drive process, the frost can be melted and collected as water during the second drive process.
