Abstract:
Most spectrophotometers currently in use are used for a large amount of a sample, and all light sources, samples, and detectors are arranged in parallel. In contrast, a novel spectrophotometer in which all of the light sources, the sample, and the detector are vertically arranged can be used to measure a small amount of a liquid sample, the volume of which is 10 micro-liters or less, and stably maintain the small amount of liquid sample. In the event a mounting device employing a parallel arrangement is used instead, the actual measurement is a vertical structure measurement, and thus variations in the optical path are inevitable and a large amount of optical attenuation occurs when using optical instruments, such as an optical fiber and a prism, rendering it difficult to perform a precise analysis. The aim of the present invention is to develop a device for mounting a small amount of a liquid sample, in which no optical instrument must be used and all of the light sources, the sample, and the detector can be arranged in parallel, and an analysis apparatus comprising same, in order to replace the measurement apparatus for large amounts of samples of the prior art with the device for mounting small amounts of liquid samples according to the present invention, to enable the easy measurement and analysis of large amounts and small amounts of samples, to enable precise measurement and analysis without optical attenuation, and to improve both efficiency and economy.
