The present invention relates to a sample preparation cartridge device and method, the device comprising: a sample chamber into which a sample solution is injected; a filter space part which is formed on one side of the sample chamber and has a membrane filter that filters cells included in the sample solution and allows the solution to pass therethrough; a cell lysis means which is formed on one side of the filter space part and lyses the cells filtered by the membrane filter so as to elute nucleic acids; a microfluidic channel which is connected to the filter space part and through which the eluted nucleic acids are moved; an electrophoresis means for capturing the nucleic acids by means of a voltage applied between the sample chamber and the microfluidic channel; a collection chamber formed on one side of the microfluidic channel so as to collect the nucleic acids captured by the electrophoresis means; a waste liquid chamber for storing the solution flowed from the filter space part; and a valve means for enabling the microfluidic channel or the waste liquid chamber to be connected to or disconnected from the filter space part.
