Abstract:
This sample purification device (1) is provided with: a vessel (50) which is used to separate a sample mixture according to specific gravity difference using a heavy liquid; and a recovery part (21) which introduces thereinto a supernatant solution discharged from the vessel (50) so as to recover, from the sample mixture, components having a specific gravity lighter than that of the heavy liquid. The vessel (50) comprises: a discharge port (20) which is disposed at the uppermost part of said vessel (50); and a discharge path (25) through which the supernatant solution discharged from the discharge port (20) is introduced to the recovery part (21). The vessel (50) has a horizontal cross-sectional area that is configured to become continuously smaller toward the upper direction in a region between at least a prescribed height of said vessel (50) and the discharge port (20).
