Abstract:
The present invention relates to a biosensor that recognizes whether a sample is introduced or not by measuring capacitance and recognizing a dielectric constant within a sample introduction channel, and a liquid sample recognition method based on the measurement of capacitance. The biosensor includes: an upper plate and a lower plate that face each other; a middle plate that is interposed between the upper plate and the lower plate and forms a sample introduction channel through a recessed portion; a working electrode and an auxiliary electrode that are formed in the sample introduction channel; a sample recognition electrode that is formed outside the sample introduction channel at a position which corresponds to the sample introduction channel; and a capacitance measurement unit that is electrically connected to the sample recognition electrode and one of the working electrode and the auxiliary electrode.
