SANDWICH AND SPECIES-SPECIFIC NUCLEIC ACID APTAMERS AGAINST PLASMODIUM LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE FOR MALARIA DIAGNOSIS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/113827
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed are aptamers, referred to as pLDH aptamers, that specifically bind to both Plasmodium falciparum lactate dehydrogenase (PfLDH) and Plasmodium vivax lactate dehydrogenase (PvLDH), which are diagnostic markers for malaria and also play a pivotal role in Plasmodium parasite metabolism.
