Abstract:
Provided is a sanitary mask system for which an infectious disease prevention effect much higher than a conventional typical sanitary mask can be expected, which is easily carried and simply handled, for which stress felt during wearing and appearance degradation are in an acceptable range, and which can be used for a long period of time. This sanitary mask system is such that, when worn, a face piece that covers the nose and mouth parts of the wearer during wearing is held air-tightly by an affixing means such as straps around the ears and affixed so as to cover the nose and mouth parts of the wearer, and during respiration, air that has been sterilized by an air sterilization device having an ultraviolet light-emitting diode can be sucked in from an inlet in the face piece through a connecting hose by the suction force of the lungs, and expired air is discharged from an outlet in the face piece. The face piece is constituted of a face piece frame member having an opening in the middle part and a cover member the main part of which is constituted of a non-permeable sheet or film and/or permeation resistant sheet or film that occupies the opening.
